Kimberly Schaffer, LCSW
Kimberly Schaffer has practiced as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for over 15 years. She earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Specializing in therapy with individual, couples and families, Kim has the privilege of supporting each individual in discovering effective strategies needed to meet their personal goals. Creating a comfortable, safe environment and an effective therapeutic relationship is essential. Whether seeking treatment for depression, stress, anxiety, grief or other emotional issues, Kim’s unique approach seeks to support each individual on their path to recovery.
Kim has the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. She has provided therapy to individuals in a variety of settings including community counseling, Veterans Hospital, non-for-profit group homes and inpatient treatment. Kim has provided School Social Work to students in public and private alternative school settings. Kim has been extensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech. She utilizes treatment strategies effective for each situation.
